Training completions are submitted automatically to the State of South Carolina. Once passing the proctored exam, students can view and download their official alcohol server certificate through the MyDORWAY portal. Access to these certificates is handled through the State’s systems, and you will be provided with detailed instructions at the end of your training.
Under the state law passed in 2025, all current on-premise alcohol servers (working 10+ hours/week) and their managers must complete SCDOR-approved training by May 1st, 2026. New employees hired after this date must be certified within 30 days of their start date.
Yes. Completing an SCDOR-approved course like LIQUORexam.com is one of the primary "Mitigation Factors" under Act 42. Businesses that certify 100% of their staff can qualify for a $100,000 reduction in their mandatory $1 million liquor liability insurance requirement.
Per the SCDOR, any alcohol training completed on or before January 18, 2026, is not compliant with the new law. To meet the May 1st deadline, you must complete a course that has been specifically approved under the new H.3430 standards.
The law (SC Code Section 61-3-120) requires certification for any employee who works 10 or more hours per week serving alcohol for on-premises consumption. However, all managers who oversee alcohol service must be certified regardless of how many hours they work per week.
Unlike other states, your official certificate is issued by the SCDOR, not the training provider. After you pass our course, we report your completion to the state. You can then download your official South Carolina Alcohol Server Certificate through the MyDORWAY portal using your name and the Certificate Number you will find on your Certificate of Completion.
Your South Carolina Alcohol Server Certificate is valid for three (3) years. To remain compliant, you must retake an approved training course before your current certificate expires.
Our students maintain a 99.9% pass rate. The exam is 100% online and camera-monitored to ensure integrity as required by state law (proctored exam occurs on our system - there are no additional downloads). You have two attempts to pass with a score of 70% or higher, and our course material fully prepares you for every question.

“Everything about this training and the exam was clear, detailed, and educational. I learned a lot of new things that I didn't know before, and the myths about drinking to sober up were interesting. I'm excited and happy. Thank you, LiquorExam.com!”
“Very informative. Training can be completed in a little more than 2 hours if you pay attention and stay focused. I enjoyed the training and have already shared many of the insights I gained with friends and family. Highly recommend this for everyone, even if you are not an active server - it gives you a great perspective into the laws and responsibilities so you better understand why places do what.”
“I didn't' expect much considering the low price but I was way off. This was such a great course! The course was easy to follow, and I liked how key notes were presented. Thank you!”
