How to Look Up and Download Your Louisiana Bar Card (Responsible Vendor Permit)

Step-by-Step Louisiana Bar Card Lookup Instructions

Step 1: Go to the Louisiana ATC website and click on the Responsible Vendor section.

Step 2: From the top menu, hover over "Responsible Vendor" and click on "Responsible Vendor Information."

Step 3: Scroll down and click on the link that says “Click here to print Responsible Vendor Bar Card.”

Step 4: On the search screen, enter your:

• Last Name
• Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
• Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

Step 5: Click the “Search” button. If your information is correct, your Bar Card record will appear.

Step 6: Click the “Download License” link to save a PDF copy of your Responsible Vendor Certificate.

Why Your Bar Card Matters

Your Bar Card includes a Verification ID that your employer can use to verify your status. This ID does not contain sensitive information and confirms that you’re certified to serve or sell alcohol in Louisiana.

What to Do If You Can’t Find Your Record

• Allow up to 10 business days for your provider to report completion.
• The ATC may take 1–2 business days to process your record.
• You may use your Certificate of Completion as temporary proof until your Bar Card is available.
• If you have a suffix in your name (Jr., Sr., etc.), try searching with variations like "Jr" or "Jr."
• Still can’t find it? Contact your training provider—they can assist with follow-up directly with the ATC.
