Need Help with Your California RBS Training?

If you're having trouble accessing your course, verifying your Server ID, or figuring out why you haven’t been reported to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), you’re in the right place.

Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions—whether it’s updating your profile, checking for mismatches, understanding the exam process, or contacting support. We’ve got you covered.

Have a question not listed here? Reach out to us anytime at contact@LIQUORexam.com.
For ABC-specific questions or issues with your Server ID, contact rbssupport@abc.ca.gov.

Topic 1: How to Register for a Server ID with the California ABC

Before starting your training, you must have a valid Server ID from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).

Go to abcbiz.abc.ca.gov, click “Register as a Server,” and follow the steps to create your ABC RBS profile. You will be required to pay the ABC a $3 fee (This is not paid to LIQUORexam.com)

Once completed, you’ll be issued a 9-digit Server ID (usually starting with 312 or 313). This number is different from your application number—be sure to use your Server ID (not the application number) when registering for training at LIQUORexam.com.

You’ll enter your Server ID when filling out your registration form on our website. However, if the Server ID or last name you provide doesn’t match what’s listed in the ABC RBS system, you’ll see a message like the one below when you log in and attempt to access your trianing:

“The Server ID and/or last name you provided do not match the records in the California ABC RBS system.”

This means the training will remain locked until the mismatch is corrected.

If the issue is with your Server ID, you can fix it by logging in at LIQUORexam.com, going to your Profile, clicking Edit Profile, updating the Server ID field, and clicking Save.

If the issue is with your last name, please email us at contact@LIQUORexam.com so we can make the update for you. Be sure to include a screenshot of your ABC profile showing your name and Server ID.

Once your information is corrected and matches what’s on file with the ABC, the course will unlock and you can begin your training.

If you're having trouble creating your Server ID or logging in to the ABC system, contact the ABC directly at rbssupport@abc.ca.gov.

Topic 2: How to Check If Your Server ID and Last Name Match the ABC RBS System

If you're unable to start your training, it's usually because the Server ID or last name you provided does not match what's on file with the California ABC RBS system.

The best way to resolve this is to log in to your ABC RBS account and double-check your profile:

If your Server ID is incorrect in our system, you can fix it by logging in at LIQUORexam.com, going to your Profile, clicking Edit Profile, updating the Server ID, and clicking Save.

If your last name is incorrect in our system, email us at contact@LIQUORexam.com with your correct last name and a screenshot of your ABC RBS profile showing your name and Server ID. We'll update it for you.

If your last name is incorrect in the ABC system, you'll need to contact the ABC directly at rbssupport@abc.ca.gov to have it corrected.

Once the Server ID and last name in your LIQUORexam.com profile match the ABC RBS system, your course will automatically unlock and you can begin training.

Topic 3: How to Correct Your Server ID

If your Server ID is incorrect, you can update it on your own.

Log in at LIQUORexam.com, click your name in the upper-right corner, and go to your Profile. Click Edit Profile, scroll to the Server ID field, enter the correct number, and click Save.

Make sure you enter your 9-digit Server ID (not your application number). It usually starts with 312 or 313.

If you are unsure of your correct Server ID, log into your ABC RBS account at abcbiz.abc.ca.gov or contact the ABC at rbssupport@abc.ca.gov for assistance.

Topic 4: How to Correct Your Last Name in Our System

If your last name doesn’t match what’s on file with the ABC RBS system, we won’t be able to report your training. You also won’t be able to access the course until this is corrected.

Because last names cannot be edited by students, please email us at contact@LIQUORexam.com and request the update. Include your correct last name and a screenshot of your ABC RBS profile showing your full name and Server ID.

Once we update your last name, you’ll be able to begin your training.

If your last name is incorrect in the ABC system, you’ll need to contact the ABC directly at rbssupport@abc.ca.gov to request a correction.

Topic 5: How to Resume the Course and Access the Final Exam

Once your Server ID and last name match, you’ll be able to begin training.

To resume your course:

The course will open in a new tab or window. If you’ve already completed the lecture material, the final exam will appear automatically after a few seconds.

Answer all the questions and click Submit. Wait until the results screen fully loads—it will display your Certificate of Completion.

At that point, your completion is automatically reported to the ABC.

Topic 6: What to Know About Hyphenated Last Names

If your last name is hyphenated in the ABC RBS system (e.g., Smith-Jones) but appears without a hyphen in your LIQUORexam.com profile (Smith Jones), that’s not a problem. Our system still considers this a valid match—as long as both names are spelled correctly.

⚠️ Our system does not allow hyphens in last names during registration. Enter your last name without the hyphen, and our system will attempt to validate it with the ABC records.

If your name still does not match, check for spelling errors or contact us at contact@LIQUORexam.com for help. Include a screenshot of your ABC profile showing your full name and Server ID.

If the last name is incorrect in the ABC system, email rbssupport@abc.ca.gov to request an update.

Topic 7: Why You See 100% Complete but Haven’t Been Reported to the ABC

If your course shows 100% complete but you haven’t been reported to the ABC, it’s likely because you haven’t passed our final exam yet.

The 100% refers only to the lecture portion of the course—not the exam.

To finish your training:

Take the exam and wait for the results screen to fully load—it will show your score and Certificate of Completion.

Only once that certificate appears will your training be automatically reported to the ABC. After that, go to abcbiz.abc.ca.gov to take the official ABC RBS exam.

Topic 8: How to Pass Our Exam and What Happens After

Once you complete the lecture slides, the final exam will automatically appear. This is the final exam for the LIQUORexam.com training, and it must be passed before we can report your completion.

After clicking Submit, stay on the page until the results screen appears. It will display your score and Certificate of Completion.

Once your certificate appears, our system instantly reports your training to the ABC. You can then take the official ABC RBS exam at abcbiz.abc.ca.gov.

Topic 9: What Happens if You Miss the 30-Day Deadline to Take the ABC RBS Exam

After we report your training to the ABC, you have 30 days to take and pass the official ABC RBS exam at abcbiz.abc.ca.gov.

If you miss this deadline, your Server ID will be marked inactive, and you will not be certified.

If that happens, contact us at contact@LIQUORexam.com. We’ll verify your status and reset your course at no cost so you can retake it and receive a new 30-day window.

If you have questions about your Server ID or ABC RBS exam access, reach out to the ABC directly at rbssupport@abc.ca.gov.

Tip: Take the ABC exam as soon as you complete our training to avoid delays.
