Campus Alcohol Safety and Peer Intervention | $12.95 | LIQUORexam.com

Practical strategies and skills that help college students intervene with their peers, reduce high-risk drinking, and prevent alcohol-related incidents on and off campus.

Trusted by 439,845 students since 2004

Campus Alcohol Safety and Peer Intervention gives college students the confidence and practical skills to step in when a friend's drinking or a party situation turns risky. Through realistic campus scenarios, students learn to recognize warning signs, intervene safely, respond to emergencies, and help prevent alcohol-related harm.

Designed for colleges and universities, the program centers on peer intervention: helping students reduce high-risk drinking within their own friend groups and organizations, and prevent alcohol-related incidents before they happen.

It works well across student life, including new student orientation, residence life, fraternities and sororities, athletics, student activities and clubs, student conduct, campus safety, and health and wellness programs.

WHY SCHOOLS AND STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS USE IT

  • Prepares students to intervene safely and early when alcohol is being misused
  • Helps reduce liability exposure for the school and its student organizations, including Greek chapters, teams, and clubs, with a certificate of completion on record for every student trained
  • Encourages good neighbor relations with local residents, businesses, and law enforcement through safer, better-run events
  • Shows a clear commitment to student health, safety, and well-being
  • Helps reduce property damage, vandalism, and other alcohol-related incidents

The course follows five college students, Maya, Jordan, Sam, Priya, and Leo, through realistic situations: a pregame during the first week of the semester, a friend who won't wake up, a drink that may have been spiked, a hazing "tradition," and a party that is getting out of hand. At each step, students choose what to do and see why the best response works.

Students will learn about:

  • standard drinks, blood alcohol concentration (BAC), and why only time sobers someone up
  • making a plan before going out, and saying no without losing friends
  • the critical signs of alcohol overdose, and when to call 911
  • drink spiking and drugs used to facilitate sexual assault
  • consent, incapacitation, and how to step in safely as a bystander
  • cannabis, misused prescription stimulants, counterfeit pills, fentanyl, and naloxone
  • peer pressure, Greek life, hazing, and how to report it
  • hosting a safer gathering and getting everyone home
